We know we haven't been posting to this blog, but that's because we've been busy working on growing the Askpedia community!
Over the past few months, we've made a number of changes under the hood. A lot of these changes were related to improving Askpedia's performance and reliability. We've also made improvements to Askpedia so that people can discover Askpedia more easily from search engines.
All of this has resulted in steady growth for Askpedia. If you're curious about Askpedia's growth, you can check out our QuantCast profile. We're growing steadily and we're now approaching 100,000 unique visitors per month!
With this growth, we're getting a lot of new users who are asking lots of interesting questions. We're also seeing greater diversity when it comes to questions and that's a great thing since it keeps everyone engaged and entertained.
Whenever you have a large open society, it's inevitable that there will be a few antisocial people who want to ruin things for everyone. Unfortunately, with this growth, we're also seeing a few bad apples here and there.
Whenever you see inappropriate behavior, please flag the content. Please don't feed their need for attention by confronting them. It will just goad them to engage in further antisocial behavior. We do review every flagged content and will do our best to discourage further antisocial behavior.
Lastly, we want to thank all of our users for helping us grow over the past few months. We have received many emails from people who were grateful for answers to important questions and we know many people have made new friends by sharing their knowledge on Askpedia. Askpedia could not exist without the support of all our users and we all look forward to greater things for the Askpedia community.
